We are open Monday to Friday from 07:30 - 18:00, except for Bank Holidays, which we do not charge for. Children can come for full days or half days. We also offer school collection, drop off and holiday childcare.

The children enjoy Welsh playgroup sessions. Policies are available in English and Welsh. We explore Welsh language and culture during our nursery day.

We are registered to care for children from four months to five years in our day nurseries and pre-schools. We also offer high quality, flexible and affordable after school clubs and holiday clubs for children aged 4 to 12 years.
Highgate works with our parents to meet each child's individual needs. Our parent app is a fabulous way to keep in touch with our parents. We post photos of a child's activities, events and record a child's learning journey throughout their time at Highgate.
Our daily routine and environment uses a consistent child centred approach to support individual care routines such as sleep, toileting and mealtimes. Our menu changes each season reflecting on seasonal dishes and our commitment to local sourced produce. We enjoy growing our own fruit and vegetables.
Our ethos centers on outdoor learning with a Forest school curriculum, encouraging a connection with nature and promoting an active, healthy lifestyle. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to grow through play and exploration in a safe and loving environment.
What is Flying Start?
Flying Start is the early years programme for families with children under 4 years of age.
The programme provides support from the Welsh Government for children aged 0-4 years old.
Highgate Day Nursery is part of the Flying Start Scheme through the Childcare aspect of the funding.

Parents can use their childcare offer for Wales funding hours for three and four year old children to pay toward their fees. We also pick up and drop off children to local schools.
Highgate accepts tax free childcare account payment toward nursery fees. Parents need to set up a government gateway account to transfer access to tax free childcare.
